Philip,Your pictures are astounding and it is very easy to see why you fell in love with Ireland. Each of your pictures tells a story and my first impression of your work was "wow, another Ansel Adams".
I also read, with interest, your bio and wanted to let you know that I traveled to Moscow and Leningrad(over 30 years ago) when communism was still the way of life. I was blown away by the beauty of buildings, the cathedrals and shopping at Gumm (not sure of the spelling) was an interesting experience. I could not get over the contrast between what we saw and then seeing people standing in lines for a 1/2 head of cabbage. Peters Summer Palace and the Hermitage were amazing but sadly we only had a few hours to tour and I am sure that we only saw about 10% of the art and artifacts.
As said earlier, your work is beautiful and I will be back to your site to see new works you posted.
Also, there is a site in Germany, "http://www.fotocommunity.com" that might be of interest to you. I have put some of my pictures out there and the European audience has been very forthcoming with comments.
